ELIGIBILITY

WHAT MAKES ME ELIGIBLE

Before starting any security training, you may be required to complete a background check.

​

In addition, all applicants must successfully pass an English assessment prior to enrolment.

COURSE CONTENT

WHAT IS COVERED IN THE COURSE

  • Understand the role and responsibilities of a first aider

  • Assess the scene and ensure personal safety

  • Contact emergency services when required

  • Conduct a primary survey (DR ABC)

  • Perform CPR on adults

  • Use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) safely

  • Know when to start and stop CPR

  • Recognise challenges during resuscitation

  • Place a casualty in the recovery position

  • Monitor and check breathing continuously

  • Control bleeding effectively

  • Treat minor injuries (cuts, grazes, bruises)

  • Treat burns and splinters

  • Apply bandages correctly

  • Respond to seizures and medical conditions

  • Identify airway obstruction (partial or complete)

  • Provide appropriate first aid response

  • Recognise signs of shock or fainting

  • Provide immediate support for shock

  • Maintain casualty care until help arrives

PEDIATRIC FIRST AID COURSE

WHAT THIS COURSE INCLUDES

EU Security Training’s Paediatric First Aid Training course is designed for those who work with or care for infants and children, providing the essential skills needed to respond confidently in emergency situations.
 

This course covers key first aid topics, including legal responsibilities, primary and secondary surveys, recovery positions for infants and children, choking response, CPR, and the safe use of defibrillators.

You will also learn how to manage a wide range of injuries and illnesses, from minor incidents to life-threatening conditions.
 

Delivered through clear instruction, practical guidance, and supportive learning materials, the course ensures you gain the knowledge and confidence to act quickly and effectively when it matters most.
 

On completion, you will be fully prepared to provide immediate care and know when to seek further medical assistance, helping to keep children safe in any environment.

  • Monitoring breathing and vital signs

  • Identifying airway obstruction (partial and complete)

  • Practical choking response techniques

  • Recognising and managing anaphylaxis and allergies

  • Identifying different types of seizures

  • Managing seizures and post-incident care

  • Treating minor injuries (cuts, bruises, burns, splinters)

  • Managing nosebleeds effectively

  • Controlling minor to severe bleeding

  • Managing shock and serious injuries

  • Awareness of life-threatening conditions and trauma
